Firm Background
Hi! I’m Jesse Solomon. After 15 years working at other firms in the Lowcountry, I founded my own practice in 2025 with one clear goal: to deliver better results for clients. I believe great design requires care, attention, and accountability—qualities that often get lost in larger firms. That’s why I personally design and manage every project, ensuring thoughtful solutions, clear communication, and meticulous oversight from start to finish.

Why the name LowcountryLA?
The Lowcountry has always been home to me, and ‘LA’ is an abbreviation for Landscape Architect.
Firm Ethos
Grounded in place, resilient by design, and uncompromisingly functional
We create environments that enhance your everyday living while preserving and celebrating the natural beauty of the Lowcountry.
Strong partnerships are at the heart of our process. We collaborate with industry experts to bring designs to life.
Our Process
While not every project requires all seven phases, this framework serves as our guiding process
# 1
Initial Consultation
We start with a conversation—either by phone or in person—to understand your goals. You’ll complete a short questionnaire to share your vision, and we’ll provide a complimentary proposal outlining estimated time and scope.
# 2
Site Analysis
Accurate site data is key. We obtain CAD surveys and base plans, then verify everything during an on-site visit. Next, we prepare the base plan and review regulations, constraints, and opportunities to ensure your design process is efficient and compliant.
# 3
Conceptual Design
Your ideas come to life through a rendered site plan showing the overall layout and major design elements. We include an inspiration board with precedent imagery and plant selections to convey style and character. At this stage, we collaborate on revisions and provide a rough cost estimate to guide decisions early.
# 4
Construction Documents
Once your conceptual plan is approved, we refine it into detailed, build-ready documents.
- Working Construction Drawings
- Material & Planting Plans
- Regulatory Approvals
- Final QA / QC
# 5
Bidding & Contractor Selection
We provide your approved construction documents to contractors for pricing. We can recommend trusted professionals or work with your preferred contractor. We assist with bid solicitation, review, and clarifications to ensure accurate cost estimates and clear contracts.
# 6
Installation
We act as your liaison during construction, offering oversight and guidance for minor adjustments. Our involvement ensures your design is implemented correctly and any issues are resolved quickly.
# 7 +
Enjoyment & Evolution
The best part—enjoy your new outdoor space! While we design for low maintenance, no landscape is maintenance-free. We’re happy to provide guidance. Our designed spaces improve with age, so your investment grows more beautiful over time.
